Synopsis
This is a story of a mother’s courage when faced with a terrible danger to her and her daughter. Her husband, a Marine, is on a Tour of Duty in Afghanistan and she has to face the danger alone.
After the mother and daughter are kidnapped by a crazed psychopath and then escape into the vast wilderness of the Mt. Magazine National Forest, the mother must use all her instincts and ingenuity to survive while trying to avoid being recaptured by the psychopath.
Many things are working against her. It’s summer, so all she and her daughter are wearing are T-shirts, shorts, and tennis shoes. To make things more complicated their clothes are brightly colored, making them easy to spot in the wooded forest. The psychopath is an experienced woodsman and knows how to track. The mother’s challenge to avoid capture is huge.
There is one thing in her favor, a close friend has discovered that she and the daughter are missing and has talked to the local sheriff and a search has begun to find the mother and daughter. The sheriff has asked a man, who is a very good woodsman and tracker, for help.
Now it is time which is working against the mother. Will the searchers find her before the psychopath?
This story has a surprise ending which will have you truly saying, “I didn’t see that coming.”
